What We Believe
We firmly confess:
- The Holy Bible is the God-inspired and inerrant Word of God.
- That salvation is only through faith in the atoning death and resurrection of Christ Jesus for us; Who and which paid for all of our sins.
- Salvation comes only through faith In Jesus Christ's atonement for us apart from works, but that good works will flow from our Christian faith with God's help.
- God created the heavens and the earth; not 'evolution.'
- All life is precious and a gift of God, so it should not be ended by abortion or euthanasia.
- In a triune God; God in three persons --- Father, Son and Holy Spirit --- NOT three gods.
- The doctrines of the Lutheran Church as contained in the Book of Concord, which is a correct exposition of the God's Word found in the Bible.
While we praise God for having blessed us with the gift of Dr. Martin Luther, we do not blindly follow everything written or said by Dr. Luther during
his life. We are thankful for his service to the church and to Christianity in seeking to return the church to her historic beliefs. We do confess
Dr. Luther's Large and Small Catechism, plus the Smalcald Articles and other writings in the Book of Concord penned by him or with him.
We also confess the Augsburg Confession (unaltered version) and the Apology thereof.
God is light. God is love. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, then God lives in him. God enlightens us with knowledge of Him,
His plan of salvation, and the Good News (Gospel) of His Son, Jesus Christ. With God there is love, without God there is no real love. Jesus
is the Son of God, true God and true man, who died on the cross to pay for our sins ---- if we reject that, then we are judged by our own works
and are not worthy of heaven. God wants all to be saved, but does not force Himself on anyone. We are His tools on earth to love and help those in the faith.
